World Class Atrraction

I highly recommend this excursion to persons who have not yet been to these attractions. Although they are “touristy,” they are essential to the Bali experience. First, the Monkey Forest is a world class attraction. Once inside, the visitor is enveloped by a wondrous sense of lushnessness and the beauty of Balinese culture (e.g., the temple, museum, and architectural design). Put it this way, even if there were no monkeys, the park is completely worth seeing in itself. Next, the drive to Tanah Lot takes over an hour and we went through many quaint villages and towns we would otherwise not have seen as the are off the beaten tourist map. Tanah Lot is beautiful, of course and on the side of the island where the sun sets. Locals go there to receive blessings and anyone who is interested in the deeper spirituality embedded in Balinese culture should not miss this. Above all else, however, it was our tour guides Adi, and his assistant, Dedi, who made our unforgettable.

Brilliant day!

Brilliant day out,our driver was on time and friendly. The drive from our hotel in Kuta out to The Monkey Forest took about 2 hours, travelling through the villages seeing how the locals live and work was very fascinating. The Monkey forest was definitely exciting when the sign says leave your belongings locked up they mean it.I got hot and needed a drink out of my bag except the monkey took a liking to it and wanted it more than me.he didn't succeed and I quickly put my drink away. You can get quite close to the monkeys as they are running around playing and following the crowds. Tanah Lot Sunset was magnificent and because of dark clouds we were unable to see the sunset.Great day out with private driver for the day who was very informative and patient.Would recommend.
